EASL - Impact of failed reactor internal fragment

EASL used explicit FE analysis methods to support our client develop a consequences of failure case for a critical component. The value to the client was to facilitate continued operation of the component and associated plant by demonstrating that the consequences of its gross failure are acceptable – the alternative approach of demonstrating that the failure of the component was not credible was proving to be a significant challenge for the client.
