The day job

Our graduates work on a variety of projects across stress analysis, fracture assessment and finite element analysis of the existing fleet of AGR nuclear power stations and the development of a new fleet of EPR nuclear power stations. 

No one day is the same. We are involved in multiple different projects and we’ll need you researching, constructing and designing a process or system that will help our clients build, operate and maintain their assets more efficiently.

Key technical topics will be:

• Design code assessments, pressure vessels and pipework

• Pipework analysis

• Finite element analysis

• Fracture assessments

• High temperature assessments

• Onsite support (flow accelerated corrosion and pipework support surveys)

• Seismic and dynamic analysis.

The must haves

  • You will hold or be predicted a good honours degree with a minimum 2.1 BEng or MEng degree in a relevant engineering or science discipline. PhD and Masters are also good with us. 
  • Work experience that has enabled you to build confidence, strengthen your communication skills and demonstrate your work ethic. Previous experience in a consultancy environment would be a plus.
  • Confidence to work on your own initiative or as part of a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to apply your technical knowledge to analyse problems and create innovative solutions.
  • A flexible approach to travel as our projects and training may take you to a variety of locations in the UK and possibly abroad.
